Kate is a long-time resident of the Northern Rivers, having grown up in Fernleigh. She holds a Master of Osteopathic Medicine and a Bachelor of Clinical Sciences from Southern Cross University. Since graduating in 2012, Kate has practised osteopathy across the Gold Coast, Byron Bay, Lismore, and Bangalow.
Kate is a registered Spinning Babies® Aware Practitioner and has a strong interest in supporting mothers through pregnancy and postpartum. She provides osteopathic care for mothers, babies, children, and families, with a particular focus on helping the body adapt to the physical changes of pregnancy, birth, and early childhood development.
Her interest in health and the human body began through many years working as a remedial massage therapist. This experience sparked a deep passion for osteopathy and a commitment to lifelong learning. Kate has undertaken extensive postgraduate training in areas including myofascial anatomy, dry needling, women’s health, paediatrics, osteopathy in the cranial field, visceral osteopathy, Spinning Babies®, and clinical diagnosis.
Kate approaches pain and movement concerns from a comprehensive, holistic perspective. She tailors each treatment to the individual, drawing on a wide range of osteopathic techniques including soft tissue therapy, myofascial release, spinal manipulation, visceral osteopathy, and craniosacral approaches.
A key part of Kate’s practice is patient education. She believes that understanding the body and the reasons behind pain or dysfunction helps people feel more confident and empowered in their healing process.
Kate strives to create a warm, supportive environment where patients feel heard, respected, and supported in their health journey.
Kate is available on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays.
