Owned by friends and colleagues Kate Egan and Neil Moran, Hinterland Osteopathy and Allied Health embodies a deep connection to the Northern Rivers community. As long-time locals, Kate and Neil are proud to be serving their community, where they and their families have grown up within.

Located in the heart of Lismore, our warm and welcoming team comprises four osteopaths, a psychologist, pelvic health therapist, JEMS practitioner and remedial massage therapists, each with a diverse range of skills and interests, welcome patients of all ages and backgrounds. From the delicate stages of pregnancy and birth through to adolescence and onward into later life, Hinterland Osteopathy and Health, embraces all with friendliness and a professional patient-centered approach to care.

While her passion lies in supporting women, children, and families, Kate's expertise extends to individuals of all ages, backgrounds, and stages of life. In her practice, Kate is dedicated to fostering a warm and supportive environment for her patients. She customises her approach to address each individual's preferences and concerns, drawing from a diverse range of osteopathic techniques. From soft tissue massage and myofascial release to spinal manipulation, visceral osteopathy, and craniosacral therapy, Kate employs a varied toolkit to promote healing and well-being.

Neil is a long-time resident of the Northern Rivers and is a caring, thoughtful practitioner who works to achieve best outcomes alongside his patients. In his practice, Neil employs a diverse range of techniques tailored to the unique needs of each individual. His hands-on experience as a father of three boys has equipped him with valuable insight into treating children and young adults effectively. As an active member of the Bangalow Rugby Club and the broader community, Neil is deeply invested in supporting men's physical health and overall well-being. His multifaceted approach to osteopathy reflects his commitment to enhancing the health and performance of individuals across all ages and backgrounds.

Betty is an experienced Osteopath with a wide range of clinical skills. She uses an artful combination of direct and gentle techniques in her hands-on approach. While she treats all types of people in her practice, Betty has a special focus on Women’s Health and perinatal issues, dance injuries, chronic pain management and headaches. She sees the patient as a whole person — body, mind and spirit. She aims to help her patients understand a specific diagnosis and its effect on the person as a whole, through the relationships of biomechanics, body systems and more.

Remedial Massage, JEMS therapist, Pilates Instructor

Laura is a remedial massage and movement therapist with 20 years of experience. Having studied the body from multiple perspectives, first as a remedial therapist, then as a Pilates Instructor, a JEMS practitioner, a massage educator and now as a student of Osteopathy, Laura is knowledgeable and thorough in her approach to the body. Clients describe her remedial massage style as a welcome combination of targeted, effective and nurturing. Those who have pursued movement rehabilitation with Laura appreciate her embodied approach that emphasises learning to trust their bodies again.

Kate has a passion for Women’s Health and treatment of the family unit. She especially loves working with women and children, from infancy to adolescence. She has a keen eye for assessing and supporting the needs of the growing bodies, hearts and minds of young people. Despite her current passion for the mums and bubs of the family, Kate works with a wide range of ages, stages and backgrounds. Kate has completed further training in post-breast cancer manual therapy techniques. In particular techniques that can be applied for post-surgical scar management, and altered tissue texture including external and internal scarring, fibrous tissue and adhesions.
